Hi
sorry, I'm sure this has been mentioned numerous times but I'm not very good at searching and couldn't find anything.

I just bought an outdoor run and was wondering when I can put them in it? It's still not too warm outside, so I want to make sure it's ok.

Thanks for your help
joe

It depends on whether you have indoors guinea pigs or outdoors ones who can cope with lower temperatures.

If you have indoors guinea pigs, make sure that the ground is still warm when you press your hand to the ground where you are going to put the run. Do not let your guinea pigs out for too long for the first time and make sure that they have hides and a towel over the top if they have never been outside before. Guinea pigs are very wary of open spaces - Their prey animal instincts are screaming "danger zone!"

Please do not leave your run uncovered if you are not around - it takes only seconds for a dog, cat or bird of prey to strike.

Thanks for the reply. The run is covered and I did put them in there at the weekend when it was warm. They loved being outside, munching the grass.
