Putting photos onto a disc

Does anyone know if I can put the photos which are on my PC from my camera, onto a disc so I never lose them even if the computer breaks down? Some are so precious. I'm such a technophobe, I don't know where to start but if someone could give me a rough idea what you have to do it would be great. Thanks

Yes if your computer can copy to discs. Don't know how to do it as I have to get my son to do it.

You can tell I'm of a certain age! I hate learning to do new stuff on the computer!

If you can transfer them back to your camera (onto the memory card) and take it into Boots, you can get them put onto cd.

Or as above, if you have a CD re-write thing, you can save them onto that

Do you have a CD writer? That would be a good start I use a program called 'Nero Burning ROM 5.5'

You need a CD writer (if you have no idea what one is - you know the CD rom in your computer, they look almost identical), a program which allows you to burn CDs and a a blank CD
