I've been curious about this for a while, my baby Lottie in the video linked below makes this purring sound when I pet her, sometimes I don't know if she is happy to be pet or if she's annoyed with it. She doesn't seem to mind much here and continues to eat and even looks for me when I stop as if she wants me to keep petting her? I'm not sure, if anyone can understand what she's saying that would be awesome, thanks! 😊

It’s about context. So from above she probably enjoys being stroked. If she didn’t want to I think she would let you know.

One of my boys does this now. Will purr when I stroke him. I know it’s not displeasure because if he didn’t like it he’d karate kick me 🤷🏾‍♀️😂

My pig Michael does this exact sound when I pet him or rub his chin. I do believe in this context it’s a happy noise. When Michael is annoyed he will turn around and bite me. To me at least, this sounds like a happy pur 🤗
