purring guinea pig?

one of my guinea pigs likes to purr loudly yo the other than he moves away. is that a normal behavior for a bonded pair of boars?
 
I think that's dominance behaviour. My boar does it to his sow everyday, multiple times. She sometimes does it back to him. It normally happens when one of them wants a certain area of the cage to themselves or to dominate that area. For example, if I have just put fresh grass down in that area or some nice fresh hay.

I say normal yes. My two don't fight at all

Ill keep an eye on the two, early they started fighting over a food bowel and wouldnt stop without until it was removed. never has guinea pigs before and already is a journy

Might be best to put 2 food bowls in then👍 or even better, don't use a bowl, they don't need them
