Purring and licking??

When I was giving Digby some tlc today he started to lick me I thought he was gonig to bite but he just started licking my arm! Last night when he was on my lap he was making a purring noise almost like a cat but not if you know what I mean. What does this mean?

Sometimes they lick for the salt on your skin, and sometimes they lick you so show that they love you and trust you.
When we got treacle she was very shy and didn't like being picked up, she didn't purr or squeak, but now she purrs, licks and squeaks for england! I think now she trusts and loves me she licks me!

So I would think Digby is showing that the love you've given him, he is loving you back :smitten:
