I note from a few threads that some people use puppy pads as an underneath layer of their bedding. I have just bought some ( from poundland) and , now I have them at home, I notice that packet says they are scented "to attract your pet". I have just had a quick look on the web and notice that quite a few other brands have a built in attracter (i.e are scented). Obviously, as they are puppy pads, the scent is an attracter for dogs. Does anyone have any views on this?

As I don't use puppy pads myself (I use cut up mattress protectors with my crowd), I can't help you, but nobidy has ever mentioned any problems with using puppy pads, scented ot not (unscented would probably be better, I'd guess).

I have used the puppy pads in the playpen from various places including the poundland ones and never had a problem. It does not encourage the piggies to wee on them though ;)

Never had a problem myself, although maybe if strongly scented it would be? But none of mine have had any scent to them.

I didnt have an issue I used childrens bed mats which are essentially the same, the disposable kind until decided the level of waste from them was too great and id rather use something that'd compost down so I dont use them anymore :-)

I have used them from time to time with no problems at all. I stopped using them as the little monkey's kept digging them up and chewing them, which was more of a concern :))

Thank you for the replies everyone. I though it would be worth making people aware that some brands have an "attractant". I must go and have a look around B&M sometime. I'm hearing that they sell quite a few bargains. Some other threads have recommended the hay from B&M.
