Just pointing out I experimented with puppy pads from pound land under my fleece but on top of my towels this week after someone on here suggested it.

They're due a clean tomorrow, I'm lying in bed at the mo & I can't smell them at all!

Impressed with that! Gonna look into the washable things now the experiment has been a success!

Hi Pamelakt,

Don't know if you already do it but I remembered yours had mites and as mine are being treated for them I was worried about anything being in the fleece. So when I washed and dried them put them in the freezer until next clean tonight.

I used to do it with teddies when my daughter was small for a dust allergy, I was told 3 hours kills bugs but you could leave it in there till next clean.

Silly.

I might try this. I'm currently using all in one cage liners and they stink!

Can I ask how many layers of puppy pads, fleece and towels do you use? :)

I'm expecting some puppy pads I ordered off ebay to arrive today, very pleased to hear you're happy with them. I wasn't going to use anything else though, so perhaps I'll have some absorbency issues.

I like this tip! Never had mites but I'll be filing this away in my brain just in case.

Glad you found something you like, Pamelakt, I know you've been having a stressful time with your set-up as late.

Oh thanks for that tip! How clever! My mites situation is on the mend Billys ear has already cleared up & they're noticeably not scratching half as much. I've also started washing my fleece at 60 instead of 40.

As for the pads I got them from pound land in a pack of 4. I used 2 side by side, and I have found its def improved the smell. They're quite big I just put them in the favourite wee wee areas xx
