puppy pads - a question and prices

at the moment i use newspapers, then washable absorbent bed pads and then fleece. do you think putting puppy pads under the fleece aswell in the most wee'd on areas would make any difference?

where do you all get your puppy pads from, and what kind of prices do you pay? :)
 
I'm using puppy pads under hay and for the hospital pigs I use puppy pads under vetbed. I'm very happy with them, the best value on the high street is in B&M, thirty 60cmx60cm for £4.99.

Hi I use the same set up but put puppy pads under high wee areas. It extends the time before changing the washable pad by at least 3 or 4 days. I find mine have two wee spots, put down the puppy pads and change every 2 days and the washable pad stays pretty much dry. A few areas here and there but cuts down on smell as well.
I buy mine from TKMaXX or their home store which is called Homesense. I get 50 standed size for £7.99 lasts me two months or so.
 
I'm trialing puppy pads at the moment, but I hate the waste... I'm also wondering what washable ones people have used?
 
I have tried puppy pads in the past but also hated the waste and the constant cost, I now use and make cage liners which are machine washable, they are more expensive but only a one off cost and they last ! www.correxcages.weebly.com
 
thanks everyone. i think i might get some and trial them for a while. luckily my mum goes to b+m every week so i'll see if she will pick some up for me. i was a bit concerned about the cost and waste but i think i'll give them a try. i have seen some washable ones but to be honest they just look like the absorbent washable bed pads so i didn't know whether that would just be like putting two bed pads down.

hi, i actually sent you an email about some lap blankets to use. i didn't know what sizes you did and whether they have an absorbent middle like the cage liners. :)
