Wanted to share my pumpkin I carved this year.
As you can see a lot of hard work and sweat went into my pumpkin (not).
My friend made a ghost face pumpkin so I made the victim, haha.

I've never carved a pumpkin. When I was a girl, my brother and I carved out swedes cos my mum could use the insides and pumpkins were very expensive. The smell of a small candle in a swede was not pleasant though.

So Dan attempted a complex carving (he was way out of his depth... , I told him he should not have attempted 'expert level' carving). so he ended up half carving Gizmo's name into a pumpkin and got away with just sitting him on the top, as the other side of the pumpkin went disastrously wrong

I attempted a Loki pumpkin (in hindsight, I should have done the horns differently.... it would have looked a lot better). And I'm a huge Supernatural (TV show) fan (not sure if anyone else watches it), so I carved the initials S.W and D.W into one (as they appear on the show - or as close as I can get it anyway)!

Halloween wasn't something we heard of when we were children. I think it must be something that came 'in' around the 1980's and living in a small village when the children were small it passed us by.
