is this a proper cage for two guinea pigs?[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Midwest-Homes-for-Pets-171GH/dp/B001NJ0DPY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345763779&sr=8-1&keywords=guinea+pig+cages"]Amazon.com: Midwest Expandable Guinea Habitat: Pet Supplies[/ame]

I really want to get 2 female guinea pigs and I was wondering if this is good enough for 2 females? My store has normal short-haired ones... everyonce and a great while will they get long hairs...

I will use fleece (felt or something?) for bedding (comes cheap at my local craft store) and I will give my guinea pigs 2 wheels of hay ([ame="http://www.amazon.com/Super-Pet-Rabbit-Rollin-Holder/dp/B0006G7TCU/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1345764135&sr=1-1&keywords=guinea+pig+hay+wheel"][/ame])

I know they will need a constant supply of hay so I will give them that ... timothy hay right?

thanks for the help... also would it be cheaper to build a 5x3 C&C cage...

The Midwest cage is fine for 2 pigs. However, a 3x5 C&C will be much bigger. And cheaper if you build your own, storage cubes are about $20 and coroplast is $10 - $20.

Cheapest grids you can find.

Coroplast $10 - $20 depending on location.

Also please adopt and don't buy from pet stores. There are many homeless guinea pigs. See http://www.petfinder.com or call your local shelter.

I already know a place where I can order the connectors and grids...but this would probably be a lot cheaper

The grids are only $17 at Sears, and the coroplast is $10. That's only $27.
Midwest cage is fine too. But for the price, C&C will be bigger.

I think I might stick with the amazon one... I think it might be a tiny bit easier to assemble

would this be good hay for them?[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Kaytee-100032126-Timothy-Cubes-1-Pound/dp/B0002DK8OI/ref=pd_sim_petsupplies_19?"]Amazon.com: Kaytee Timothy Cubes, 1-Pound: Pet Supplies[/ame] I want to get them the best possible and people say their pets *love love love it*
