So excited, Hubby has finally started work on my outdoor piggy palace, after weeks of nagging and threats to spends lots of money on an integrated hutch and run.

My pigs are kept indoors in our heated conservatory during the winter, but need to outside on hot days due to the conservatory being rather warm. when I am out for the day at work etc, I always put them in their hutch, as I worry about them being in their run in case it rains. So they don't always get the run time they need as I work 10 hour days for 2 days a week.

So I decided hubby needed to find a way to attach our run to the hutch, so they can be in the hutch in the dry, but access the run whenever they want to. They will still come in to the conservatory at nighttime.

It is all taking shape nicely, he has cut a door into the side of the hutch and made a secure cover for it, in case we ever need ti keep the pigs in the hutch. Now all he needs to do is cut the wire on the run, attch it to the hutch and fit the ramp, and it will be ready for a trial run.

Can't wait to try my 2 boys in it, will try and post pics when it is done.

Oh me and my boys are so jealous! I have a hutch in the garden that needs some serious Grand Designs work on. My dad hasn't even looked at it! You need to show us some before and after pics so we can go "oooo" "ahhh" :p

Hope this upload works. Hubby has finished the piggie palace, and the boys seem to love it.

Didn't get any before pictures, but here is the finished hutch.
