As prescribed by our vet, I'm giving my guinea pig some pro-biotics. It's written on the package to keep it in room temp. So that's what I did. Except it turned from jelly to kinda watery? I put it in the fridge after that. Any idea what's the matter? It's been all okay for 2 months, when I kept it outside. Idk what's the problem?

It’s largely going to depend on the brand of probiotic, what room temperature you are dealing with, and the shelf life of the product once opened.
I’d say it would be very difficult for us to answer this question given there are so many unknowns about the product you are using.

Ok! I'm using Benebac Plus Gel, and it's expiry is still more than a year away. It's not a problem, per se, but thank you for your help!

The expiry date doesn’t apply once it has been opened - you need to check how long it says to use within once it has been opened ie it’ll probably say something like ‘once opened use within six weeks’.
If there is such a timing on it, and that time has passed then that may be why you are experiencing issues with it separating

Thanks a lot! I'll check it at once
