i got my piggies yesterday and they are in a cage with woodshavings and hay for bedding (with seperate hay holder) I'm going to switch them to fleece bedding but i was wondering, in their igloo house, do i need to stuff it with bedding like i do my hamsters? or do they sleep in it empty ? sorry for being so clueless! xx

heres a cute pic to compensate my stupidness lol

Hi, it is not a silly question at all, other people may do it differently but I don't put any bedding in the house, I just pop it on top of the fleece and then they snuggle on that, as long as they are indoors ( you said cage not hutch so I guess so?) they should be warm enough. If you browse the housing section where you posted this you can see lots of pics of other people's set up's. HTH Lovely pic btwx)

When I was using non-fabric bedding I used to put fabric underneath their pigloos as I worried about softness when sleeping. Once I switched to fleece, and now vetbed, I don't put anything under their hidey houses. The whole cage is covered with fabric (I use a hayrack).

I also never put anything in my cuddle places. If its an outside hutch, its worth stuffing with hay for warmth, but generally, inside they should be fine :)

This is because they dont build nest like hamsters :)

thank you that helps alot, yes theyr inside in my living room with my hammies, my hubby made me a shelf thing to house them all yesterday using my sons old toddler bed lol, here it is (this is my piggys temp cage as we are moving within the next 3 months to a house and will be building a c+c cage :D - well my hubby will, he just doesnt know it yet haha)
