So we are in a bit of a pickle regarding housing, out setting is adequate size wise, but is beginning to distress me by the amount they poo and pee on my floor, does anyone know of cages that are the same size (with similar layout) as C and C but aren't C and C. Or of a way I can convince my mum to like C and C I don't mind the look but my mum doesn't like it at all, this question might be impossible to answer... I was thinking of getting the C and C that is above ground to convince her by letting her put storage stuff beneath it, any ideas?

I personally don't see what's not to like about a c&c and think they often look more appealing than a regular cage... I have made my c&c' prettier by covering the side parts of the coroplast with sticky back plastic that matches the decor of the room. This may make your mum prefer the look. Also I find white grids reflect the light more and therefore do not look as dark of a space in a room... the storage suggestion may be a good idea as if the c&c is raise off the floor it is suprissing how much extra storage space there is under neath... hope this is of some help to you x

That was helpful, I don’t see what she doesn’t like though it’s a genuinely nice cage, they are currently in my room though and to get that cage they would have to be in the living room... My room is very small and I can’t even get to my drawers because they had to be moved to between my bed and the drawers (it’s a long story, stupid radiator!)I really do think they’d be better off downstairs but my mum is totally averse to the idea even though everyone would love to have them down... What size would we need for 2 males? I was thinking getting a 5x2 anyway...

Oh dear, sounds awkward as it is, I'm very fortunate to have a large enough room to accommodate my piggies so my parents don't really mind what I do in there of their cage... however I wouldn't have any other possibility to keep them elsewhere in the house so it's quite lucky that my room is big enough...

Maybe just explain to your mum the reasoning, and show her examples of nice looking c&c's

What colour is your living room decor? You could purchase fleece to match the room and make their cage part of the furniture...

I would advice to look to purchase the grids and coroplast separately and through means that don't advertise as a "c&c cage" as during my research I found people "making" the c&cs for you I.e cutting the coroplast, and counting the grids, add a lot onto the cost, and I found it cheaper to purchase a box of the grids (for mine from Amazon) and then I had extras just in case

I hope you can get a c&c and bring your mum around to the idea 🤞🤞
