Hi! I recently adopted two young piggy girls, and I noticed a few days ago one of their lips was a bit pink and strange looking. We don’t have very good photos of her beforehand, though, and are just - pretty sure - it wasn’t like this before—Which is why we’re a little bit hesitant about it. Vet visits are so expensive we really don’t want to go if it isn’t anything.

I’ve attached two photos of it and then two from a few weeks ago where her snout appeared to have more fur on it. We don’t have better photos, unfortunately.

Is it swollen? Unfortunately you are best off getting her checked by the vet. I’d advise having both given a general health check, if they weren’t gotten from a reputable rescue.

Please do see a vet. They are the only people who can say what the issue is and any treatment that is needed.

A vet would rather see a poggie with nothing wrong and an anxious owner than an owner with an ill piggie with an owner who has left it too late. Please see a vet about this.
