Hi all, it's me again!

The vet prescribed us with potassium citrate yesterday with the piggies suspected cystitis - 0.15ml to be given twice daily..

They said to come back when we run out to get more - but obviously the vet would charge £10+ just for one bottle, whereas I've found some potassium citrate online that looks exactly the same for just £1.78 - http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/potassium-citrate-mixture/prd-lh0?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=&utm_campaign=PLA | Embarrassing | Vaginal Care&utm_content=srmTKXXuJ|dc_pcrid_30415757812

I was just wondering if this is exactly the same thing as what my vet prescribed? On the bottle we have now from the vets it literally says 'potassium citrate' on the label, nothing else..

I just think it may be better for me to buy my own rather than keep going back and to (a 20 minute drive)

Thank you..

Yes that is fine, it's the same one I've used on my Petal piggy she suffers from IC/UTI & it clumps the calcium together in the urine. Lloyds chemists sell it I think :) For chronic cystitis, you could also consider Cartrophen injections, Petal has those once a month (Will probably be lifelong) Make sure that they always get Septrin or Marbocyl antibiotics when they have a bout of cystitis as they are the best ones for it :)

You are welcome :) P.S. This is the exact same one my vet used, she told me to buy this in the chemist as it is so much cheaper ;)
