Fred&HarryPigs
New Born Pup
Hi
Winnie was spayed on Monday. She came home the same evening and has been doing well. Eating and pooing and has been up and about. I did notice that she was “leaking” urine Monday evening and yesterday and it smelt quite strong. This has now stopped so I gave her a bum wash with a flannel to gently remove the staining as it smelt quite bad.
I’ve just got her out to check her wound and when putting her back into the cage, she immediately did a wee (no noise) but it’s very bloody. She is already booked in to see our exotic vet for her 3 day post op check, but I wondered if anyone has any experience of this?
Could it be UTI/cystitis following the stress of the operation or is it bleeding because of the operation.
Please note she had her spay as she was very very hormonal, stressed and grumpy she had no bleeding with her cysts which were both sides of her ovaries. She has had lots of bladder issues in the past.
Thank you for reading.
