Hi, first off i know i need to take him into the vet i’ve already called and i don’t even have the money to pay for this so its already stressful, but he will go.

last night i noticed he had a stuffy nose so i sat with him and tried helping him but he was acting pretty fine other than that so i let him be and checked on him in the morning. today he is super subdued, he was all fluffed up and his ears feel cold. i put him into a steamy room which seemed to help and now i am sitting on the heating pad with him hoping to warm him up. now he is no longer all fluffed up and stiff and is laying out flat with his legs sprawled out like normal, he seems more comfortable i’m letting him rest on the heating pad now.

he does not have appetite, he licked some critical care off my fingers but not nearly enough to make. a difference. i am force feeding it to him through a syringe now.

he recently got over bloat, he feels fine other than maybe a slight bit of bloat in just one spot and he is wincing whenever he poops. his poops look normal, normal shapes and size so i’m not sure where the wincing is coming from.

he is on meloxidyl for pain and ive put a humidifier into his room.

I'm afraid I can't advise, but there is some useful info in this thread which may help you and your boy Emergency and Crisis Care as well as Bridging Care until a Vet Appointment

Heat pads won't make a piggy feel warm outside, they provide a source of warmth which the pig can use if it finds it comforting or move away from if they don't need it.

Sending healing vibes 💓

i’m still force feeding him but all he does is lay down yes he is laying comfortably sprawled out and everything unlike earlier where he was hunched and puffy but all he will do is lay down, i’m so scared. i want to hope that he is just laying down to get some rest because he is sick but i can’t get myself to trust that

I'm so heartbroken he was my first guinea pig i just went through this loss january 19th and yet its here again already, his death happened so quickly i had no idea this would happen today. he seized in my arms and i watched him gasp for air, i’m 17 and this was my first time seeing it it was terrifying but i went through it because i didnt want him to be in anyone elses arms. he was my sweetest baby. i held him for hours and hours today feeding him and never letting go of him.
