Okay so if anyone has been reading, I asked latley about maybe bonding my 4yo boar with my 4 month old boars. I mostly got a negative reaction to that (which I totally understand) and I don't want anyone getting hurt, so today I put the trio on the bed for their first "laptime" and left them for about half an hour with veggies and stuff, leaving them to climb on me ect. Then once I put the trio back in I brought Toffee out and put him on the bed and since his cage mate died he has been silent and barley ran around but tonight was a totally different story! he was running around popcorning and wheeking! I haven't heard this for months! Anyone think this could lead to possible succssesful bonding? Or am I aiming FAR too high? Pics Below :) x

I couldn't even get a picture of him sitting still! Beyond happy with the results!

A trio of boys rarely works I've heard so I think possibly you may run into problems as your 4 month olds get a bit older... some have sucess but I think more often than not there are issues.

Can you not get him a new friend just for himself?

Sounds like he would benefit from company he is obviously happier...

I haven't been following the previous thread- so I may be missing the full story Herr, but rather than trying for a group of four board, why not try yo bond your four year old with one of the trio and have two pairs? As said above, I heard that trios don't always work, and you have the risk of it becoming more dificult as they age (or maybe not-I'm aware that it can work in some cases) But either way, would you not have a better chance of succes with two pairs? Plus, there is three potential options there for your four year old to bond with :) just a thought ...
