hello everyone. I've had my guineas for a week now, they are 8 weeks old. iv been holding them everyday and they are tame and used to their cages which is a hutch and an outdoor run. Iv just been startled by one of them darting about the run and jumping everywhere like crazy! is that popcorning? i never realised they could run so fast! thanks x

he is just racing around the cage round and round his feet hardly touching the ground! its adorable! thanks for your reply x

mine is quite calm and rarley popcorns but i know he is happy by his lovely sound he makesx i had him when he was 8 weeks and he is now 10weeks it was love at first sight

i talk to mine in a stupid voice and when i do this voice they get excited and start going mad chasing each other round run and pop corning :(|):(|):(|) prop think i am a looney i think the neighbours do

Popcorning is the most wonderful thing to see. Baby piggies are so fast. Although having said that, My Mimsi is nearly 5 and he still darts about the room like a mad thing. Your piggies must be very happy

When mine get excited, their food bowls get trodden in, and pellets go flying! rolleyes They especially go like rockets in their floor time -- they love the table and chairs in the sitting room because their are so many legs to dart between-- it looks like agility trials for small fat dogs sometimes!

Haha :))
Popcorning is so lovely to watch, its so rewarding to see them sooo happy and you know that all the love you give them, the money you spend and the worrying you do is all worth it because they're SO happy!
:)
When my two boys first started popcorning I was frightened something was wrong - they were still gitting used to the lay out of their cage and used to bang into things which used to scare me! It is quite alarming when you aren't used to it! I love to see it now though, although I haven't worked out the trigger yet :))
x

when i first had mine and i bought them in for first time put fleece on floor and basil started jumping i thought there was some thing up with him cause he was jumping about now i know what it is . its so funny watching them running around and jumping over each other if they are in way me and my daughter end up crying with laughter:(|):(|):(|)

when i first got into animals as a adult a few years ago i got a bunny called floppy and when she first binkied (bunny version of popcorning) i thought she was having mini strokes!! But then again back then i actually phoned the vet with this...
"hi can * help me I'm worried my baby rabbit has broken her ears, they were both upright but one of them is now flopped"
"you appear to have a lop eared rabbit "
"oh ok thanks"

how crap was i!!

I was playing hide and search with my girl piggies last night. They loved it because I got their favourite treat out - lettuce. Infact they loved it so much that my Mirtle nearly a year and a half started pop corning. It was quite funny as she is a fully grown adult!:))
