can anyone link me to some popcorning videos?

I've done a search in behaviour and stories but can't find anything.

My concern is the little baby guinea who I'm looking after keeps doing crazy mad popcorning or thats what i think it is but i would just like to confirm it is popcorning and not something else as the poor mite does look like he's having a fit or something when he does it!

Just thought i'd add that when he's running laps doing litte popcorns it looks like normal ones i have seen in videos but its when he sits in his little fabric house and does them while sitting stillthat I'm worried about!

I had to laugh at this one because I thought exactly the same when I got my boys. I thought they were having some kind of fit. It kinda resembles a new born lamb when they do a kind of jump and twist in the air. Go into youtube and search popcorning guinea pigs or guinea pigs popcorning and you should see if its similar to what your piggie is doing.

Sounds totally normal to me!

Popcorning is as individual as every piggy - you have the ones that roll on the floor, play popcorn-in-the-pot, bounce off walls, crash into their friends at full tilt, run circles like a clockwork toy, jump over fences, squeeze through a narrow spot umpteen times... Whatever!

i've had a look on youtube and when he's running round popcorning it matches those but i cant find any videos of piggies sitting still doing it! lol

I thought it was normal popcorning but my sister (whose pigs they are) came round last night and said she's never seen him doing it (sitting still) before so now i've started to worry!

what is popcorn-in-the-pot that sounds like what my little piggy's been doing!

Basically it is what your piggy is doing - jumping in an enclosed space - nothing to worry about! I find it just soooo cute!

Your sister's piggy has obviously just discovered a new way of having fun!

I've only witnessed our piggies popcorning when they hear food is coming..........that was until I put a Primark bag in their run the other day! :))

They took about 10 minutes of sniffing it and being a bit scared of it until one of them was brave enough to walk through it, then suddenely they all went nuts!

They were running through the bag then popcorning like crazy when they came out the other side! It was brilliant to watch. xx>>>
