My guinea pig Kookie is around 5 months old and popcorns pretty frequently but I’ve recently found that when I scratch his back, he popcorns on my chest? It’s moreso him flipping onto his stomach and I really don’t think he’s asking for tummy scratches. Does anyone else’s piggie do this? We were also looking at adopting a guinea pig from a shelter so he could bond with him and wouldn’t be by himself anymore. We ended up getting two who were bonded in the spur of the moment (without doing any research on introducing 3 guinea pigs... ) and introduced one of them to Kookie. They did the standard circling and trying to hump each other and really seemed to get along so we decided to introduce a third one... obviously a huge mistake. Kookie was trampled when the bonded pair started biting each others faces and being very aggressive. We tried to reintroduce them but decided it was best to keep them all in seperate, large cages when it didn’t work out at all. I feel really bad because we thought we were doing something good when we adopted both of them in order to try to keep them bonded but we messed it up. I’d like to have the bonded pair reunite but since they’re litter mates I feel like it’s even more intense. Any suggestions?
