This is more out of curiosity then anything but whenever I'm hoovering my livingroom (this is where my piggies live) Humf always starts popcorning which i find amusing and somewhat odd as i thought the hoover might frighten him but apparently seems to make him happy.Wondered if anyone else has experienced this with their piggies? :{ lol

I think this is fairly common. All my piggies go into a popcorning frenzy when I hoover. They seem to love it. They popcorn more to the hoover than they do to a plastic bag being rustled! The phone ringing downstairs frightens the life out of them for some reason!

I get lots of wheeks when i use the microwave and when the washing machine spins. not scared wheeks kinda like communicating!
Bo does this too, but the girls are more sceptical

Flash does it too, he is the only one though! Its funny isn't it! 
mine also dislike the phone ringing and the buzzer going on my entry phone. yet my 2 year old having a tantrum and screaming seems to have no effect on them what so ever lol

mine are frightened of the phone and the doorbell but love the hoover, think it is either to do with the fact I hoover round their cages after i give them hay (it gets everywhere) or that i do it after i clean them out (as I ended up spilling loads of megazorb on the carpet )
Who knows, they also go mad for the kitchen tap, haven't worked out the connection for that one yet though, maybe re-filling water bottles or washing their food dishes mallethead

this is my 1st time with having piggies and i must say i wish i had got some sooner,they are wonderful pets and make me smile at the little things they do

maybe it's something to do with the vibrations the hoover makes bit like rumbling? i don't really hoover anymore *** i sweep my laminate but i might hoover tomorrow to see how many out of my 7 popcorn!!

Thats an interesting theroy. That may well be the reason. Maybe they think the hoover is a giant piggie
