Hi guys, I haven't been active in a very long time due to school, mainly. I completed my GCSEs in the May/June of 2017 and received my results on August the 24th 2017 and to my surprise I had done much better than I thought I had done. I managed to achieve 4A*s (Biology, Chemistry, Art, English Literature (8) ), 6As (Maths (7), English language (7), Physics, ICT, RE, Geography), 1B (Further Maths) and 1C (French) and had been revising on and off since Decemeber 2016 meaning my life was pretty hectic. I have always wanted to be a vet and have now started my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths (AS), however, this isn't the reason why I'm doing this post.

I received two snuggle sacks and a lap pad from @worried val of york in March (I think) of 2017 and promised photos and I'm pretty certain I never uploaded any and I feel terrible about it. This is my last day off from sixth form for Christmas holidays so I thought I would upload some photos of my two sows enjoying their new Christmas presents (6x3 1/3 ft run and a tunnel - they also have new cage liners coming and they got some treats and other bits and bobs that have been destroyed :D ) and the snuggle sacks from @worried val of york .

Lovely girls and very spoilt too (as it should be, of course!) Well done on your results - you obviously worked very hard and it paid off! :nod:

Thank you, only downside with owning these two is that my parents don't allow them to live inside (which is annoying).

Nevermind! That doesn't mean they are any less well looked after! They are beautiful girls!

Thanks for the update. You have two spoilt guinea pigs there. Lovely photos and Congratulations on your exam results. I am pleased to hear you want to study to be a vet, that's a really worthwhile ambition. It will be hard work but in the end the rewards of doing a profession that you really want to do will be well worth it.
Good luck for the future @orangeinepig

Wow great results- your hard work certainly paid off! I want to be a vet also and will be doing my GCSES very soon- I can only hope I achieve as well as you have. As mentioned above I also wish you lots of luck in achieving your goal! And your piggies certainly love their gifts! X

:love::love::love::love: Thanks for the update
No problem :)
Gorgeous girls.
Well done on your results too
Thank you very much :)
Very lucky piggies!
Thanks

Thank you. I have about 9 months until I apply to university so it's starting to sink in, but I hope I can get to university and study veterinary medicine. Without your generosity my guinea pigs wouldn't have the amazing home that they have now, so thank you.

Thanks, if you need any help with GCSEs I'm always willing to help :). Have you done any work experience for veterinary medicine yet?

Sadly no. None of the veterinary practices I approached would allow me to work there. Instead I did my work experience at a kennels/cattery. I also tried shelters like Woodgreen and RSPCA but they also didn't accept me.

I've heard that people have had problems getting work experience in vet practices. I have phoned most of the ones in my town (and the surrounding towns) for work experience.
