Recently I've been switching between fleece and bedding with the girls because they both have property's I like. I prefer fleece in the long run, but it's so more maintenance.

But when ever the girls are on fleece they end up with poo stuck to their paws! Yuck! Then they put their paws on the bowls or cage side and POOF, poo everywhere. :(

I can't understand it because I spot clean religiously 4 to 5 times a day. And yet when they're on beding, I don't spot clean at all and just do one big clean a week and their paws are impeccable!

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something I'm missing with fleece? Is it just that my girls are dirty little hogs? :3

Nope, my two are on fleece, no pooey paws (yet!) is this some form of joy that is waiting for me further down the line?

Not a problem that I have had either.
Hmm, do they get lot of veg?
Just wondering if maybe the problem occurs because they have slightly soft poos?
Not sure really, but I hope you find an answer soon because it sounds messy!

I haven't had this problem with mine on fleece either. I've found the fleece easier as there's no sawdust in places that sawdust shouldn't be found! I would be leaning the way of @Swissgreys too and wondering if their poos are on the soft side and easier to squish?

If your piggies have "poo shoes" then the problem is that their poop is too soft.

For a first step please try cutting back on their veg and increasing their hay and dry foods. Soft poop is the sign of overactive guts - often from a veg that doesn't agree with them or too much green stuff generally, it can also be the signs of some intestinal upset. So I would give them restricted veg and see if that makes a difference.

I have not noticed pooey paws with my girls using fleece, they tend to do the bulk of their poos in two corners of their cage anyway and the rest of the cage there is minimal even in their hideys. I notice though that they pee in the same corners and it gets a bit squishy and i had to put news paper down cos it makes it easier to spot clean and just change the paper but I'm honestly suprised I dont see pooey paws they arnt fussy where they stand lol.

Some very interesting ideas. They do get quite a bit of fresh veg. My mom seems to think they'll starve if they just have a leaf. They also don't tend to eat their pellets when I put them down for them. They always get plenty of fresh hay though.
I'll look into feeding them more roughage and see if that helps.

Our boys sometimes get pooey paws, it's never anything problematic though, we are currently cutting down veh though as their poos are a bit softer than they should be.
