Hi everyone, my guinea pig Charlies' poop looks different than it usually is he seems to be eating and is still acting fine but, his poop is longer and skinnier than normal anybody have any ideas? Gonna hopefully get him to the vets' tomorrow. Thank you. IMG_20230322_025233089.webp

I don't really think this is a problem. My girl Flora has variation like this. Either of those are good sized, moist, healthy poops. It's good to keep an eye on them though as it can be one of the first signs something is amiss.
I'm not sure you need a vet check although others may disagree with me! But Flora doesn't see a vet for hers.

If you are concerned keep an eye on his weight. Weekly weight checks for healthy pigs - daily if you're worried. There can be some ups and downs - say 30g each way is perfectly normal. If he drops 40g but recovers it the next day that can just be natural variation. It's when they are losing a little every day and after a few weeks you think, "well.... he seems to be 100g lighter" that you get concerned.

...apart from my big greedy girl that is - she was 1.4 kilo for a while then dropped to 1.3 and stayed there. Turns out she was eating leftover support food from when my boy got poorly and had extras in his special tunnel. When he improved there were no more 'treats' to be stolen. I thought he'd been eating it all! But the scales don't lie Louise, the scales don't lie...

Thank you that's funny yah he seems pretty healthy. His brother Fatboy weighs a lot but, seems healthy, he is 3lbs he is a big boy I think they may have some cuy in them. IMG_20230318_134106880.webpIMG_20230306_144311396.webp
