Here the problem: the boys' cage is up against a wall and they push their poop out through the c&c grids and it becomes trapped between the skirting boards and the side of their pen which is a pain to clean.

The solution: cot bumpers from Aldi!

Let me first off make it clear that cot bumpers should never be used in an actual cot because they increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. See the guidance from The Lullaby Trust if you're unsure. A clear cot is a safer cot

Now then, cot bumpers are basically skirting boards made of fabric and so have provided the perfect solution to stopping pig poop coming out of the grids against the wall.

These ones are actually C&C grid height but I put them lower to have a "lip" at the bottom to stop any sneaky poops getting underneath!

Great idea! Love it! I don't have a C and C cage and mine are outside piggies (they were inside during the snow) but if I did I would use this idea.

Clever you!

You genius! :D Might have to invest in some of these. It's a big problem at the moment but I'm hoping to remodel the cage. This is a fab idea for the time being, thanks!
