Have just brought home my first piggies and just wondering if they litter train or is it best to leave them as they are? I plan on scooping out their poos throught out the day where I can (they are on fleece bedding) but I just windered if anyone else has done this, how do you do it and is it fair on the piggies? thanx

The people i know of that have tried litter training have either failed dismally, or used sneaky techniques such as putting all there food and water inside a large hay tray (they tend to poo while eating alot) However this still only combats SOME of the wees and poos.

I agree, many people have tried and failed. Some people have been able to 'wee' train piggies to go in a litter tray but never to poo in there alone. In my herds cage (which is mostly fleece) i have a 'hay box' (an old bottom of an indoor cage) this is where i give them all unlimited hay. And i have to say that 80% of wee's happen in here and around only 50% of poos. So something like this is an idea.
