Question about poo texture!
I started giving my piggies grass to prepare them for lawn time in their new run. They’ve been fine with this and now had 2 days of no more than an hour in their run on the grass and loved it bless them.
Not sure I'm been over cautious but I checked their poo and all looks normal shape and size but some softer to touch like they press quite easily. I’m now questioning what they are normally like and of this is normal for some to be harder than others? they are not mushy just seem quite soft to press.
when Rocky was a baby he had a really poorly tummy and runny poo so not sure if I’m been too over cautious about introducing grass time and not sure if I should hold off for a couple of days.
Any advice or reassurance would be great. Thanks so much

When you say soft to touch how soft do you mean? Do they squish if you press them gently or do you have to press them quite hard? Are they still a normal shape and size? My piggies had soft poos from grass and now I'm super cautious too so hopefully I can help 🙂

They are still normal shape and size - they squish quite easily when I press them. But not all of them are like it

Are they fresh when you squish them easily? And how long were they on the grass before the one hour? I’d probably keep an eye on it for now.

I was feeding them grass for a few weeks picked from the garden & put into the cage to get them used to it.
do you think I should carry on putting them on the grass for a little bit or avoid? What about veggies? All theyve had today is hay and Nuggets.
not sure how fresh they are, I’ll check that out tomorrow as I’ll have more of an eye on them!

See how they are tomorrow. It may be the grass but I’m not entirely sure. It depends how much (handfuls) they were getting in their cage before you put them on the lawn. But it may be they’re just not dried yet.

Thanks everyone. We had another session on the grass and nothing is any worse so I’ll keep going and see how we go. The weather has turned so they probably won’t be going out for a couple of days now though!
