What is she doing, I'm concerned as I've never seen her do this before?! (Pebbles is the black one, and you only have to watch the first 30 seconds)

I dont no if it is just me but i dont notice anything unusual, just looks like she is having what i call a "loopy moment" ... but it could just be me

Lovely Guineas By The Way x

I'm not really sure Joanne. Flumpet does funny movements like that sometimes and I've always thought it looked like she was trying to shake off something- a hair or piece of hay maybe?
Was Pebbles doing it very much or just the bit on camera?

Just the bit on the camera, shes not usually that energetic. Just stressing over nothing I guess :))!

Looks like a mini popcorn to me! Some piggy have these occasional loopy moments - I guess she is a happy lady...

Dindy does this now and again for no apparrent reason to no ill effect.

I hope it is just mini popcorns I've seen her popcorn but never bunny hops like that rolleyes...

Stops being paranoid! :x (thats a lie, I'll still be paranoid just over something else rolleyes ;))

I dont think it is anything to worry about.

Patches does the bunny hopping thing all the time when he is running around with the rabbits ... if i can get a video for you i will post it up so you can compare, but normally when the camera comes out they all stop and pose! :))
xx

Looks like an attempt at popcorning to me. Maybe a half popcorn?:(|):(|) She seems happy enough!

I thought she was pop corning too. They looked like they were both enjoying floor time and their hay.

I have a pig that never pop corns. However, she looks up at me when munching her food as if to say,' I am happy'. (I hope!).

Then I have got Chocolate. He can't walk any where without popcorning. One evening he was going at it like a gazelle and I had to put him back in his hutch. He was driving me up the wall jumping and squeaking.rolleyes

It's not just his popcorning, he jumps and his entire body changes direction.:))

Sancho does this all the time, I think it's just a mini burst of excitement. He usually performs about 3-4 in a row when he's on his way to food or Floris! :))

My older piggies popcorn just like that, just a little jump here and there. :)

That's what they say! The youngsters can zoom and leap and twist because they are so dainty. The older pigs have more weight to heft about, takes lots more effort to produce even a single popcorn. Their efforts may look feeble to our untrained eyes but to them, that little jump required a level of effort equivalent to that needed for us to do the high jump. :))
