Hi i am thinking of having C & C this year when Joe and Jimmy come in for the winter, i had to bring them in out of the extension last year as Joe got a bad chest so even though he is better we will still bring him and Jimmy in for the winter its so nice to have piggies in my kitchen.

I am planning a five by two top bedroom compartment and a five by four play area at the bottom. So i would love to see pics of your set ups that you have for some ideas please i know alot of you have some very impressive ones.

Thanks in advance

Lindsay, Jimmy and Joe xx)

Have a look in the C+C sticky threads at the top of Housing.

Here's mine

3storeycage.jpg

It's a 3 x 2, 3 storey one that I have in our family room.

My hubby is going to extend it to a 4 x 2, 3 storey one when we are ready to introduce the 2 babies. There are 4 in there currently.

Love C&C

I just wanted to see C & C ideas altogether that was my idea for this thread as alot of the pics on the sticky threads are not showing up.

Never mind I'm sure i will think of some ideas before the winter:(|)

OK, here's mine :))

This was my original C&C... housed 2 piggies...

The ramp was made out of 2 grids folded with a piece of correx (with little steps glued on) cable tied to it, it was then covered in fleece)

I changed that to a one level 4X3 (with 2 piggies)...

I now have 4 piggies, 2 each in a 4X2 side by side C&C cage... no photo of that though but its not that interesting :))

The only pic i can find with an upper level - Albie, Lottie & Maddie's temp quarantine home; a 3x2 with an upper level (squashed into the only space available in our bedroom).

:)) Thats Daisy-Boo, yes she does look like a sheep, she had a severe haircut a couple of weeks ago :o

I am so giddy with joy today...I'm at work...but on my lunch hour went to Target(here in the US) and they have the cubes for me to make my C&C cage with for only $16.99. -c I can get Blue/Black/White... now I just need to find the coroplast....and i'm ready to set the girls up with a new home! :)
I'm sure I'll have it up this weekend...I'll be sure to post pics....now remember...I'm new...so its only going to be a one floor 2x4 cage for now....I'll work on making a second floor I'm sure! lol

Here's a picture of what our 4 pigs live in :D Not the best quality as off my phone (also think the pigs were in the garden while doing this so probably not in the picture lol but i could be wrong!)

I bought the 6 cube set up last night for $14.99...set it up...and put the girls in it just to see how it looks, etc. Dont have the coroplast yet...but my girls are so small...they scooted themselves right out! {:|{:|{:|Talk about follow the leader! Molly saw Abby do it and pushed her little self right thru behind her...Clever little girls! So....i have called today to get a sheet of coroplast a 5ftx8ft sheet will be $14.00. I can score it and have it in tomorrow! Woohoo!
I'm making the edges go almost to the top so they cannot escape! then may cut it down to about halfway once they have some meat on their bones! The little boogers! ;)^)

Had that problem with Poppy when she was that age! Luckily they grow up and get too big to fit through soon!

Chocco and Marvins new cage

Hi guys as some of you may know, marvin and chocco have had to be seperated following a fight where blood was drawn.
This is my new solution, and hopfully they will learn to enjoy being neighbours.
Cage is nearly compleate just need to chew proof the upper level.

That looks great! the only suggestion I would make is that I would have one or two of the sides of the correx much lower as the piggies do like to look out! This was proved when I put new correx in my piggies cages and Lennie actually made heartbreaking distressed noises because the correx was too high and he couldn't see out. Once I cut it down and put it cushion next to the front so he could see out, he was happy and spent a lot of time snoozing on his cushion x)

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, we are going to cut it down a little....then maybe a bit more when they are old enough and have some meat on their bones! They can get out the bars if too low.....already been tested...They had a blast running around my living room playing hide and go seek! :))

Added new fleece today!

Ok, i was in Target and couldnt resist this "Littlest Petshop" bedding....x)
Still changes to be made(ex: lower the coroplast, make a ramp for the 2nd floor, buy another water bottle, get a pan for hay & food, buy some little beds for the two rooms)....looks like they like it though..what do you think?!? lol
