My guinea pigs back is arched high like a kamal almost. I rescued her and she is 1-2 years old does anyone know why? She hates being picked up and twitches and kicks when you try. Do you think it is because it hurts her back?
Sitting hunched up or arching the back is often a sign of pain. It doesn't specifically mean her back is the source of the pain, but a hunched up pig is an uncomfortable pig. Unfortunately there's not much else we can say except to see a vet and get an assessment. Signs of illness in pigs are pretty vague and generally some kind of assessment is needed, but if she's hunching up she's in discomfort.
