My piggie Popcorn was just eating hay, and still is, when I looked up and suddenly she was in the position she gets into when she stretches, except she was more on her side and it seemed only one arm was out (i couldnt see much since it was quick and her side was facing me. She seemed to almost twitch (not like severe twitching just a little movement). I was so mortified that I did not see if she was just stretching or if this was some weird seizure. It lasted for like 2 seconds then she went back to eating normal. Shes back to acting like her healthy little self, but I am still scared. If what I saw was a seizure, what could be the cause?

I would firstly recommend a vet visit perhaps and just double check all is ok.

It's possible it wasn't a seizure and instead Popcorn was living up to her name and popcorning, which can look quite similar to a seizure with twitching and jumping about.

My dog has seizures and it can just simply be due to connections in the brain, otherwise underlying problems like a tumour etc can cause seizures to occur.

I would observe popcorn and if she does t again try and capture a video. I know my dog is very disoriented after a seizure and it takes a moment for her to recover. I would suspect it would have the same affect on a guinea pig and that if it had been a seizure Popcorn would not have started eating again so soon.

Keep an eye out for her and see whether there is a repeat. As things stand you can't do anything and nor can a vet.

It is likely just a stretch with a little difference. When you suffer from pet anxiety you unfortunately perceive everything that is just a little out of the ordinary as a potential illness or health issue.

Understood! It's all past now and she hasn't done it again. I agree w @Wiebke about it probably being a stretch with a twist.
