Please help - popping noise

My piggy Cocoa keeps making a popping noise. I keep hearing it from his cage. He also makes a squeaky noise when he breathes. I just noticed it. Should I take him to the vet, or not if it stops in the next hour? He's also had crusty eyes. But he had this since we got him. We got him 5 months ago. If it was an URI he would've already been dead months ago. Edit: The sqeaky breathing stopped. What should I do?

It would be wise to have you piggy checked by a vet. Crusty eyes and noisy breathing would suggest something is going on.

No, we didn't. But the humane society we got them from said that he had crusty eyes since he was born and no matter what they tried nothing changed. He's 2 years old. Sounded sketch to me, but I thought nothing of it until I did some more research.

It's not the first time he had a stuffy nose. I think I might try a humidifier in their room or changing the tempature.

You really ought to take him to the vet before trying anything yourself such as the humidifier etc. He needs a proper diagnosis to be able to get to the bottom of the problem.
