My 5 year old male guinea pig was just running around in circles, almost uncontrollably, as if he was confused. So I went up to him and he was also twitching a bit, and his eyes also seem to be twitching pretty quickly. He's still responsive, though. He tried to escape when I picked him up and he moves his ears and head when I pet them. He's breathing normally and he was chewing his food occasionally. He also was leaning a bit to the right when he was still in his cage and I'm currently holding him and the only symptom still present is the eye twitching (in both eyes). He started acting this way about 20-30 minutes ago. I turned the fan off in my room (since it was on the highest setting during the night) and tried holding and petting him to comfort him, and the only symptom that hadn't subsided was the rapid eye twitching. I guess it would be worth noting that he seems to be acting normal now, I don't notice his eyes twitching anymore and he's currently chilling in my lap. But I still need to know if that was a medical emergency or what I can do to prevent it from happening again since it's scary. Also, I can't get him to a vet today since I'm 16 but don't have a car (please still help me, though) and have no way to get him to the vet since my parents both work until around 6 (the time the vets close).
