I have two boars of about 13months old and I've just had to split them up they were fighting really badly and have drawn blood. I have no clue what to do? I had put a hay box in so I'm wondering if that's why? Wondering where I go from here?

Thankyou for your reply I havent at the moment I have am indoor run that one of them can be in for now but going foward what type of set up would u suggest as will be willing to get anything!

A 120x60cm cage for each of them that you can put side by side so they can interact through the bars. How big is the play pen, and where is the other piggy currently housed?

What set up do you currently have? A grids system such as C and c offers the most flexible arrangements as you can build them any size/shape.

I have a 2x4 ft indoor cage at the moment and the indoor pen is about that size but not a long term solution i wanted to look into cc cage but is a stacking one an option as space is tight? I

At the moment you can’t stack as they need to be living next to each other. Is there a corner which you could build the c&c round? For now put the cage next to the pen if possible.

We could work around it, they are in the kitchen and they were going to go outside in their hutch but I guess that's a no go now. Currently in talks with husband to shift our kitchen around to accommodate. I feel so sad 😢

Hi and welcome

Once there has been a bloody fight, boars won't go back. Unforunately, yours are still in the teenage. It doesn't take all that much to upset the apple cart when one of them is suffering a sudden testosterone spike if underlying tensions are already simmering.

Please take the time to carefully read these links here. They talk you through all possible options in a practical and detailed way, far better than we can do with just two sentences in a post. Unfortunately there is no magic wand trick that can make fallen out piggies go back together.

Thankyou I will look at that. I'm looking to order some c and c grids could you tell me how many I would need to make two seperate cages next to each other?

Ideally a 2x4 for each pig. So you could make a 4x4 and split it lengthways. Or a 2x8 and split it widthways.
