Hi guys!
So I've always wanted to upgrade the pigs from their current setup. I do love their set up but I think I would love it to be much much bigger so they can run more than then they can now. From the start I have said I've always always wanted a shed but after discussing it with people I don't think I'm going to be able to get one for quite a while (3-5 years) and my pigs are 2 in April. So I came up with the idea of buying an extra large playhouse. I was thinking either 8x6 8x8 or 10x8. I have found one online that I'm in love with but it's £570.At the end of the day I was going to paying that for a shed anyway. I was just curious to see what your thoughts are and how I can keep it insulated for winter. I would love to bring them in but we have a very barky little dog who doesn't like the pigsters at all . So
1. What is your thoughts on a playhouse
2. What size should I go for?
3. How can I keep it insulated
4.how could I attach my run?
5. What substrate? (I was thinking Lino on the floor with levels of hay And fleece)
6.will the pigs like it?
Thanks for your help! X:)

Added facts: I have two boys (currently 1yr and 6 months)
Names: buddy and Chico
Dream setup:shed
Would an 8x6 playhouse be a suitable home all year round? Insulation?
I don't have a job so how could I get money?

Oh and my parents have told me that I should pay just over half for it

I got the loft insulation in foil rolls from Wickes (or any diy superstore) and boarded over it with cheap chipboard. ;)

What size play house would you go for?i have two boys. These are my options depending on the price
1.8 x 6
2. 8 x 8
3. 8 x 10

Do u think that provides a lot of space? I want my boys to have a lot of space since they will be free ranging 24/7

My pigs free range during the day but go in a hutch at night. I have a massive double rabbit hutch built into the end of my shed - photos are in the housing forum in the hutch topic. ;)

I have two teenage boars in a shed, they have half the shed which gives them 4'x6' plus a double level 3' hutch which they go in and out of at leisure. I personally would now not go any smaller for my boys, especially as they are in their teenage period (almost 6 months) so have a constant dominance thing going on.

Part of me would love to have them indoors, but there is no way I could give them that much space inside

I just checked it out on the thread u linked and it looks great! I'm sure your pigs love it x
