playful nipping ?

Lincoln is my best friend and i think he sees me as his best friend aswel as his mommy. His very loving and hates if I'm not giving him attention. I know alot of people on here don't agree guinea pigs should be a lone pet and i understand this but i can promise his very happy and I'm hoping to be rehoming some piggys very soon (fingers crossed).
Anyway his had an obsession latley with nipping me.It doesnt hurt and its not aggressive. He licks me after also. Its like he finds it funny though. He will nip me then wheek and popcorn around the room and come back to do it again. He sits on my lap and if I'm watching tele i forget to stroke him for a split second he will nip me. He climbs up and sits on my shoulder and sits there nuzzeling at my neck. Then he comes in front of my face, climbs up me and chews on the eyebrow. Ive started telling him no in a stern voice but he seems to see it as a game. I know its not nasty but it still upsets me. If he nips me i move my hand and he will find it and nip again.

i have no idea what to do. I have dill and parsly bits out for him when his out so i know his not hungry. I normally give him some veg when i put him back in his cage but the last couple of days i havent because of his nipping but i feel so guilty (he still gets veg just on the night rather then a lil treat aswel).

Any ideas? I know its not hurting me and i kno his not upset but i want to put a stop to it. My OH has refused to hold him latley as its driving him mad that he cant just have a nice cuddle anymore.

aww so sweet of lincoln!

Scruffy my piggy does nip me, gently though sometimes as a sign hes annoyed. He doesnt like his chin being stroked or sometimes his cheeks either and he nips! he also climbs up onto my shoulder and several times bitten my eyelid! ow!

sounds like lincoln is being a cheeky piggy! lol, i love the face he wheeks and comes back to do it again.

May try and not give him too many treats when he does it (dont mean to sound cruel!) he may be thinking that nipping you is a way to get attention and food, and you need to show him its not! :)

either way, with my piggy nipping, it doesnt hurt and doesnt do it all the time, so i let him get away with it sometimes! other times he gets a telling off and sent to the naughty step! :))
 
Could be a breeding nip.. lol perhaps he fancies you.. When piggies are courting they nip and then run around popcorning, they then do it all over again. Perhaps if your OH held him some more, he may settle down with you again?

haha! sorry i have this image of Lincoln pining after you lincolnsmommy! that is sooo cute!
 
lol, perhaps you should get yourself neutered - he might calm down then lol rolleyes
 
When mine nip I tell them "No, that hurts" and then I put them back in the cage. After about 5 mins I try again and repeat the procedure if it happens agian.
They have learned not to do it as they like their cuddle time.
