Junior Guinea Pig
I got Nugget two weeks ago and he's finally coming out of his shell. He took a piece of pepper from me today which was a really big step as he wouldn't take anything at all from me before, no matter how much I tried, and would rather run out during the night and eat when no one was around. Anyway, I was thinking that his cage is a bit small for adequate running around space so I bought an indoor guinea pig play pen. I thought he'd run around in it as I put lots of toys around but he jumped straight into the little house I'd put in. He'd been sitting on the sofa with me for about 2hrs before that so I don't know if he's just tired but he's been in that house for about 1hr30 now with no sign of moving from it. Is this normal? I thought he'd want to run around since there's so much space and toys etc around. Is there anything I can do to make him feel more at ease?
