I really wish Amazon and places like that would stop selling the zoo zone plastic cages for Guinea pigs. They are too small and there is hardly any ventilation apart from through the tiny bars on the lid. I have left reviews on Amazon about these cages not being suitable for Guinea pigs and rabbits but I bet people still buy them. In pets at home and my local garden centre they are sold as hamster cages. It makes me so angry that they are still being advertised online as suitable rabbit and Guinea pig homes. Is there anything we can do to stop them doing this.

Sadly very little, as long as the government has no interest in adapt the laws to the changes/advances in pet welfare and force pet shops to sell products in accordance to minimal welfare recommendations. :(

I feel so sad for all the animals crammed into these small cages it's not good for them. It makes it worse how they advertise them as well saying things like they stop hay and sawdust from coming out of the cage and they are easy to clean which yes is true but they are not healthy for the animal who has to live in them and I guess lots of people buy them thinking they are a good idea
