I have been buzy this afternoon. I have evicted Screech, my hamster and have put her in a large bin cage that Pip was in as an emergency.
Pip is now in Screech's cage and it looks empty as I have to get some toys for her.

This is he cozy I made from a cat radiator bed.
It started off looking like this and I cut it.

Then I made a wire frame for the front from fencing wire

Wire in place and just need to sew.

Finished and I can alter the shape too.

Not bad for a man who has not sewn anything for over 30 years. lol

Thanks. The desert background is one for a fish tank. I glued it to the back but with all the hamster stuff in it, it was not very noticable.

Here is Pip in her new cage. I tried to put a tunnel to the upper level for her so she does not use the ramp and fall off. She would not use it. I removed it and she went half way up the ramp and jumped up onto the upper level for some food.

Loads of room for her in this cage.

Great cage! I hope screech isn't too cross at you for being evicted lol ;)

Thanks. She hasnt come out yet. She popped her head out of the waterwheel house as I moved everything, to see what was happening. I put her in the bin cage and have not seen her yet. She will come out about 9:30 pm as it is getting dark. I will chat to her then. She came out last night for a play and a cuddle. The first one for a couple of weeks. I am not too sure if the cage was a bit too big for her in the first place. She might be out a bit more in a smaller cage. Fingers crossed. ;)

I think Pip loves her new cage. She has just had a mad 10 mins just running around . I have took the house I made out as she has not been in it and she likes to sleep in the hay. I will put more hay in later and she can make a bed with it. She has the tunnel to use as a hide, which she darts into. She does seem a lot happier now.

Aww how sweet. She is beautiful.

I hope she does. lol.

Here is the cage at night with the christmas tree lights on.

Thanks all.
The front is perspex and the lid is mesh.
At the moment, it has an opening lid. I have plans to make it front opening as well. The cage, 4ft x 2ft x 22"high was £50 off ebay with free delivery. There is a top shelf to it, but I left it out as not needed.

How did you find it on eBay? What was it listed under? In the search?

Sorry for the late reply. I have been busy in my shed looking for a pair of hinges to put on the front of the cage to make it front opening as well as top.
The shed is a bit tidier now but I still have not found the hinges. lol.
Here is the cage.. There is one in UK that is about £1.50 cheaper, but this one was quick delivery with tracking code.
