NEVER MIND PIMP MY RIDE ...IT'S PIMP MY SHED TIME LOL As I mentioned in another thread my brother has decided to re-do my shed.
Well he also decided that the work starts today, He's building another floor inside the shed so the boys can have the top layer and the girls have a bigger floor space on the bottom.
He's also boarding the shed out and putting insulation in the cavities inbetween...I can't wait till it's finished.
Ooh he say's if there's enough wood he's gonna but some cupboards or storage units in.
My youngest can't wait as she now want's the inside painted pink on the girls bit and turquoise on the boys bit lol (not sure about that lol).
I'm happy because 1, they'll be warmer in winter 2, they'll be safer from predators ...human & animal 3, they'll have more room 4, it'll be easier to clean and manage 5, it'll look more homely for them :red and lastly 6, my little girl thinks that with so much more room we could offer another boy & girl a forever home (have to think about that one).
Hopefully he thinks it maybe finished by the weekend (my brother is fab and I love him loads, he does loads for me and the girls)

Ooooooo sounds fabulous :)) What a lovely brother :)

He's the best x)
He came to mine about 6.30 and he left about 10mins ago, bless him.
I now have a fully boarded out shed and tomorrow he's coming to make the boys new bigger pens which will be a second storey high, I can't wait.
He really should make this stuff to sell outside his normal working hours, his shed that he built from scratch is amazing.

I think I want to marry him!x):))

Sorry ladies, he's already spoken for and ties the knot (so to speak) in August to my equally wonderful sister in law to be.

Sounds great. love the idea your daughter came up with for colours :(|) What a clever idea :))
My OH is great at this sort of thing too, when we converted to C & C before Christmas, he built the piggies a beach hut themed set up which went a bit OTT but looks great drool
Useful to have around at times, a handy guy rolleyes

Aww that's nice :) the handyman in my life is my dad but he's too busy faffing with his motorbike :)) my boyfriend however is hopeless at DIY I swear he's kind of dangerous rolleyes

Am so jealous!

My partner is brilliant at anything handy, has a very creative, practical brain. BUT he's so laid back its v hard to get him motivated to do these things - took 6 weeks to get a hole dug in the garden for my strawberries!

He's here now, putting together my boys new homes :) then he's back tomorrow or thursday to sort the girls housing out.
When it's all done it's just left to me to 'paint it' as my little girl is insisting lol.

Think you should paint the girls side pink and the boys side turquoise...:x :(|)

I laid my new floor in the shed yesterday afternoon :)
All that's left to do now is ... box around the widows, put up the shelving, and 2 slim pieces of the shed need panneling.
Oh and then the painting lol, hopefully It'll be finished by the weekend.
The boys love their new houses but Alfie can't understand why he can't see his lady friends, Albie couldn't give a damn so long as he's got something to munch on but Alfie keeps looking at Albie as if to say ''you're not a lady, where are my ladies to talk to''.
Before Albie & Alfie were on one side of the floor opposite the girls but now they're above the girls, so he can't really see them anymore.

Ooo sounds good, it'll be lovely to see photos once its done this weekend :)

Well this afternoon I've been and bought some paint, BARGAIN :) Focus DIY have gone in to administration so they have a great on.
I've bought a tin of Turkish delight (bright pink) and Skye (Light blue) and it cost £12.98 so I'm quite pleased about that.
As soon as they give a day of nice weather I'll put the piggies out in their runs and get painting (looks nice for the weekend).
My youngest has now decided that she wants guinea pig pictures on the wall, at this rate the shed will look that homely she'll be moving in there, mind you she would if I gave her half a chance.

Ooo what a fab bargin i want to get some paint myself for the piggie shed....i want to paint it white and blue (to look like a beach hut :)) ) So might have to get myself down to Focus!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll be a nice weekend and no rain!

Awwwwww! I wouldnt mind moving in with my pigs, so i think your daughter has a fab idea! :))

she's a piglamaniac lol.
She keeps going in to the shed (although it looks like a bomb site at the moment) just to keep looking at the set up.
It it wasn't for the fact that she's off to see Abba mania in a bit she'd be scouring ebay for piggy items.

She's going to make a 'thank you' card for her lovely uncle aswell as the box of roses she's got him, I'm thinking maybe a bottle of whiskey too as the amount of time & effort he's put in to it is amazing.

She loves them pigs, they mean everything to her :)
She likes to use the history on my laptop to look at piggies and threads on here.
I won't let her on the forum with her own laptop otherwise she'd be on here all the time lol.
When the shed is done she's asked if we can go and look at few extra piggies to give them a better home.
She really is thoughtful when it comes to animals, I'm thinking a vet when she grows up although she wants to be a holistic therapist.
