Pigs seem less tame

Hi

Adi my poorly pig seems to dislike me! I've been giving him his meds, orally and bathing his fungus nose..however, he will not sit still anymore and its a real battle. I've tried all sorts. Now, when I pick him up out of the cage he runs away, more so than before as we've not had him long anyway, few weeks. also, he tries to jump out of my arms. The other one has started to do this now too. whats going on?
 
The additional stress of having to medicate him is freaking him out even more. That is normal - few piggies, especially when they haven't been handled much take to being hunted down and treated on regular basis. Of course, it communicates to the companion.

Things will calm down after a few days once you have stopped medicating and you can recommence building up a relationship then. Right now, I would concentrate on getting your piggy better and be as calm and reassuring as possible. Do not react badly to its freaking out, that makes it only worse.

I guess I knew all of this, just wanted some reassurance that all will be well once he no longer needs meds.

His eye is looking much much better, still not opened as much as the other, but definite improvement and his nose is looking less sore...still bald and a bit of blood towards the end but we're getting there!

Have ordered from GG but still waiting so looking forward to try that too
