Junior Guinea Pig
I have just started taking our pigs out of their hutch to clean them out. I have taken the two little ones out and put them in a pen in the kitchen and went to go and get another one. When I got back the two were fighting. I quickly seperated them and noticed pebbles was bleeding. She'd had a nip to her face near her mouth.
The cut has now stopped bleeding and I have cleaned it up. She is now in the pen in the kitchen with Mum whilst Pearl is in the hutch with auntie Betty.
They tend to get on when all of them are together I can imagine the two older ones keep them in check. And they've only fallen out once before at the vets but I put that down to the stress of the situation and the disinfectant at the vets messing with their smell. They are sisters aswell.
I have read that once blood is drawn you can't put them back together. Does that apply to sows aswell as boars? Do you think Pebbles will need to go to the vet? I can't imagine they can do too much about a cut apart from advise to keep it clean?
Any advice is very much appreciated.
