Hi!

Please make sure that they cannot get at any plastic. It is not good for them. At some point they will gnaw something off.

Oh really? I thought they wont eat it as they are both very picky even with their veggies, its seems weird that they will not have a bite of celery even when they are hungry but at the same time they could eat plastic.... In any case i will put the tree on a higher ground so they wont reach it but do you think that even a bite or two could be dangerous for their lives? I am worried that they already ate some......

Some substances in plastic can make it very interesting to guinea pigs. I have plenty of plastic addicts in my own piggies and have to be very careful to ensure that they cannot get at it. It can cause fatal blockages in the gut.

Plastic string all game to a piggie but not good at all.
Cucumbers come wrapped in plastic and I've mistakenly cut one up and notice small pieces of plastic on the knife after.
Plastic can kill a whale so what chance does a small piggie have.
I caught one of mine with string in her mouth. Lucky I removed it. I now remove from all toys and houses.

Oh thats bad, they roaming free in the house for hours and hours and of course i cant keep an eye on them at all times, so far they didnt bite anything but wood, i have to be extra careful now though knowing they could eat plastic.... i hope they are not in trouble already but according the way you are saying it i guess they wont be in any trouble with the first piece! Thanks a lot
