Hi guys

I got 2 sows they have been together since they were 8 weeks old they are now 5months. They have never had a fight or any signs of not getting on but on the flip side they never share a place to sleep, never cosy up, never interact with each other?

Are they happy together? Why don't they cuddle up together?

Not all piggies are cuddlers and even in my groups, each piggy has often its preferred nook and cranny. They live happily alongside each other. While some piggies can be very snuggly with each other, many others don't and are no less happy.

My 2 pairs don't sleep/ snuggle together but are each devoted to each other. I wouldn't worry about it.

My two piggies used to not cuddle up together, and at first I was worried. But I guess some guinea pigs don't. As long as they both have a place to sleep, and they aren't fighting or anything, you're okay.

My 2 boys have been together for over 3 years now and it was only after almost 2 years that grumpy Hazelnut allowed ever hopeful Peanut Butter to snuggle with him. It is still enough of an infrequent occurrence though that my heart melts every time I see it.

Just because yours don't cuddle doesn't mean they don't appreciate having each other's company. And some day they may give you a pleasant surprise!

Not all pigs are cuddlers, even if they get along well. My two girls will sometimes sleep in the pigloo together at night, but besides that they have their own separate napping spots during the day and interact but aren't often side by side during they day. They definitely have a bond (they don't fight and will look for each other if one is removed for anything longer than a brief cuddle on the couch), but they seldom cuddle up together unless it's in the dead of night.
