Piggy with bladder stones

Hi everyone! I'm new to this group and I'm hoping I can help some people and receive information from y'all. I have a 5 year old rescue guinea pig who has bladder stones ( she already had surgery and is on hydrochlorothiazide and potassium citrate). And I have a 1 year old rescue piggy named little bean. Has anyone had a vet give their piggy for bladder stone related pain Buprenorphine injection?
 
Poor girl, I hope she will stay free of stones. That is an interesting question about Buprenorphine, I'm bumping hoping someone will come along with answers. Little Bean sounds very sweet ❤️ Piggy please, can we have some photographs of your piggies 🐾💗🥰 Welcome to the forum!
 
I appreciate it, she has an appointment with a specialist tomorrow. I'm hoping they have a solution so I don't have to put her down. I need to do what's best for her quality of life and not think about myself.

Your piggies are gorgeous 🥰 What a beautiful girl. Little Bean is peeping in too, sweet white piggy. My Polo is a pink eyed white piggy and I think they are very often good natured piggies, Polo certainly is ❤️
 
Hey, hope everything went well at the vets?

I have been given bupe before for bladder stones, I don't really like giving it as it totally knocks them out, but will give it if I feel it is completely needed
