My guinea pig is acting completely normal, munching away on hay as I type this, drinking water, took her vitamin c and digestive support pills this morning but she has not passed any poops for over twelve hours, since I cleaned her cage last night there is nothing new. What can I do? Is there anything to do? She appears normal but not pooping for so long is weird

Please have her seen by a vet.

Poop output is 1-2 days behind food intake so it could be that she hasn't eaten properly for the last couple of days and whatever caused it may have now passed, she is getting her appetite back and you will see poop soon, but it is simply not worth the risk that there may be something else going on inside which isn't so easily explained, so having her seen is a good idea.

Please also switch from weighing weekly to weighing daily while you have health concerns.

My vet said they'd call me back within 24hrs, hope it's by end of day. I can't afford a $700 trip to the emergency hospital but if it needs to happen I will. She hasn't been abnormal the past few days, she eats all day and drinks water. I give her a few slices of green pepper every night and yesterday I gave two slices of cucumber. But she's had that before I don't see why it would cause this.

It’s reduced hay intake which will cause reduced poop - as hay is their main food. You can only know they are eating enough hay through their weight checks. They can not eat as much hay for a couple of days and if it is between weekly weight checks, you may not notice anything until you next weigh them

When did you last weigh her? It would be worth doing a weight check now (and then weighing daily from now on) to see if there is anything of note while you to wait to see if the vet wants to see her.
