I'm thinking of giving the boys new bedrooms and would like to know what you have and what you think is good or bad about it.

Currently my 2 have a woven hut each.

I like the fact they are well ventilated so the wee odours don't linger, they don't have a built in base so they don't get mucky and they are safe for the piggies to nibble on.

I don't like the fact that they're a little small and lightweight, as the piggies get bigger they tend to knock them around or even over, and then they can't use them till I come and put them back again. I think the boys like to have their own space so something that lets them sit separately when they want to is important. Also they like to nibble them so much that one is no longer a hut, more like a gazebo remnant!

My husband has built me a couple of wooden huts with two exits, where they can gnaw on, but not chew through as they are too thick.

(PS: The leg in the back belongs to another piggy!)

haha Weibke that is an awesome picture it looks like a massive pig ;D

I'm also wondering what other people use because I don't like my pigloos

Wiebke, you did make me laugh - you shouldn't have said anything, then we would have thought you had a very loooooooonnnnnngggggg piggie.

That hut has been with for five years. In summer I use it and its pendant to put a platform on top so I have a "penthouse" apartment for naps and hay that enables them to still have access to every blade of grass.

I use childrens plastic stools in my hutches - the piggies love them

Wiebke that pic is utterly fantastic! :(|) :(|)

My girls live in a hutch so just have lots of newspaper and hay in their bedroom. They also have a pigloo in the living accommodation as sometimes they like their own space. I too am looking for something extra I can put in the bedroom along with the hay and the snugglesafe as the weather gets colder.

Wiebke, great pic of Llewelyn :)) Who is the owner of the leg?
