My 2 boars seem to stink out there cage in a matter of days after i have cleaned them out, is there something out there that can help? Is sawdust not the best thing for them?

By sawdust I guess you mean shavings, and I find that quite good for not being smelly. But boys smell I'm afraid :(

my boars still sometimes let off there cheesy scent sometimes so they stink the room out,

I use megazorb now with hay on top ,mine are in the shed and I can't smell anything in there.

How big is the cage? A smaller cage is stunk up faster than a big one... I use shavings in my hay crate but I put a layer of a paper based kitty litter on the bottom that really reduces the smell. Maybe you have something similar? It looks like paper pellets :)

For two boars I think a 4x2 cage with shavings would have to be cleaned out every third or fourth day...

Piggies can be stinky, especially boys! I've found that shavings stayed fresh smelling for the longest.

My sister has to clean the boys 6ft hutch out every 3 days, otherwise they really do pong! Then my sister blames my rabbits and tells me to get rid of them!

my rescues are on shavings and are fully cleaned out every 2 days they are all very mucky not to mention my OCD of late with a clean cagerolleyes:))

my skinny guineas are bedded on inconti pads (washable ones) fleece and vet bed they are hoovered twice a day and vet bed washed every 2 days along with the fleece, i still find they can be smelly been cleaned out this often xx

I haven't used wood shavings since the CCT started recommending against them due to some piggies having respiratory problems related to the wood dust.

Griff and Malcolm are in a cage that's 1500 x 700 cm in the living room. So, I couldn't abide bad odours. I put down a good layer of newspapers and then lashings of meadow hay. I find I only need to clean them out about every 5th day as it can start to smell like a barn (but the barn smell is better than what Herbie cat leaves behind in the litter tray every day!) :^-

Sometimes when they get a bit, urm "fruity" you do get that unpleasant smell, but thankfully, it doesn't last long. Bathing every month or so helps as well.

I tried Carefresh once, but found the cage needed to be changed more often due to the smell.
